GENERAL
IS INCA ORGANICS CERTIFIED ORGANIC?
Our Organic Whey Protein Powders found here are certified organic with the Australian Certified Organic body (ACO). The certification mark and certification number is printed on the front and back of the packaging.
Tip: The only way to ensure a product is organic is to seek and rely on a certification mark such as the “Bud” logo from Australian Certified Organic (ACO).
An organic certification logo protects consumers from misleading claims and is the mark of a genuine organic product which has been audited all along the production chain from paddock to plate to comply with strict organic standards. This means INCA Organics have met strict requirements, followed regulations and is subject to strict auditing processes to ensure compliance. Beware of imitations – there are plenty of products in the industry that are marketed as “organic” but their ingredients wouldn’t pass the Australian Certified Organic test.

We have chosen this source as it is renowned for the highest quality as well as efficacy (backed by clinical studies). Bovine collagen peptides are derived from the connective tissues of cows, specifically from their skin, bones, and cartilage. Our collagen peptides are highly digestible and regarded as a clean label ingredient. They are NON-GMO, and naturally free from wheat, gluten, lactose or dairy.

WHEY PROTEIN
WHAT IS WHEY PROTEIN?
Whey protein is a high-quality protein derived from milk during the cheese-making process. It is recognised as a complete protein because it contains all essential amino acids crucial for the body's functions. Additionally, whey protein is rapidly absorbed by the body, making it an efficient and effective source of dietary protein. Protein powder is a dietary supplement used to help individuals meet their daily protein requirements, support with lean muscle maintenance, and improve overall health and wellbeing amongst other benefits.
WHY WHEY PROTEIN?
Whey protein is considered one of the highest quality dietary proteins due to its unique and highly nutritional amino acid profile. They provide essential amino acids, which are the building blocks of proteins. Among the 20 amino acids required by the body, 9 must be obtained from the diet—these are known as essential amino acids. Whey protein contains all the essential amino acids in the right proportion needed by the body. It includes essential amino acids like leucine, which plays a vital role in muscle maintenance and tissue repair.
DOES THE WHEY PROTEIN CONTAIN ANY SOY OR LECITHIN?
Our entire INCA Organics range does not contain soy.
DOES THE WHEY PROTEIN CONTAIN ANY LECITHIN?
Our certified organic whey protein powder range (Organic Whey Natural, Organic Whey Raw Cacao and Organic Whey Coconut) do not contain any lecithin.
Our Skin Body Gut Collagen Whey protein powders contain a minimal amount of sunflower lecithin (less than 0.1%) to prevent clumping and ensure a smooth consistency. We have chosen sunflower lecithin instead of soy lecithin due to its non-allergenic properties, non-GMO status, potential health benefits, and environmental considerations.
HOW MUCH PROTEIN DO I NEED?
The recommended daily intake for protein varies based on individual needs, but a common guideline is for Adult women: 0.75g/kilogram of body weight/day, Adult men: 0.84g/kilogram of body weight/day, People who are pregnant, breastfeeding or over 70 years old: 1g/kilogram of body weight/day. (If you are pregnant or breastfeeding please consult with your healthcare practitioner prior).

- Adult Women: 0.75 grams per kilogram of body weight per day

CAN I CONSUME WHEY IF I AM LACTOSE INTOLERANT?
Our Whey Protein Concentrate contains low levels of lactose. Our Whey protein isolate (used in the Skin Body Gut Collagen Whey Protein powder) contains very low/ trace levels of lactose, as the isolation process removes most of the lactose present in the original milk. According to the Australian Dietary Guidelines and various research suggests that most people with lactose intolerance can tolerate 12-15g of lactose per day (equivalent to up to 250ml of regular milk) and possibly even more if lactose consumption is spread throughout the day rather than in a single sitting. However, the degree of lactose tolerance differs from person to person. If you are unsure about your lactose tolerance, your doctor can determine your threshold level.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WHEY PROTEIN ISOLATE AND CONCENTRATE?
The key difference between whey concentrate and whey isolate is that whey protein isolate undergoes additional processing to remove a higher percentage of fats, lactose, and carbohydrates, resulting in a product that is higher in protein content. Whey protein isolate contains minimal lactose making it easier to digest for those with lactose sensitivity.
CAN I TAKE INCA ORGANICS WHEY IF I AM PREGNANT?
INCA Organics Whey is pasteurised and is considered safe for pregnant women. We recommend you speak with your medical professional prior to taking any supplements.
